An Italian firm came up with the unique design of this car which resembles a bubble. Thereby these cars and all those models that followed in later stages which carried same design were called ‘bubble cars’. These cars have their doors on front and can accommodate two to three people. The steering wheel assembly is mounted on the door itself. The rear axle is slightly shorter in length than the front axle making the tail of the car smaller than the face. Isetta models used single cylinder engines and very highly fuel efficient which increased their popularity and inspired many other car makers to come up with similar models.

They used gas turbine engines and had lot of build qualities that resembled jets. The company showcased this concept in three different stages. The first model was a single seater car which resembled cockpit. The second car had four seats, tail fin, air intakes and used 200 hp gas turbine engine. This car used kerosene for fuel and also had disc brakes. All the models of Fire Bird concept had bubble like top cover which let the driver and passenger have free view of the world around.
